About Alex
Hi my name is Alex, and I'm 18 and studying Medicine at University. I’m someone who enjoys working with young people and helping them grow, both academically and personally. I volunteer at a youth club where I support and engage with children in a relaxed, supportive environment, and I also teach sailing—a role that’s helped me develop patience, clear communication, and leadership skills. These experiences have made me realise how rewarding it is to guide others and see their confidence grow. That’s why I’d like to tutor GCSE Maths and Chemistry: not only do I enjoy these subjects, but I also want to help students feel more capable and motivated in their learning, just like I do when coaching on the water or mentoring at the youth club.
