About Nik
I make math fun! I know that is a very unlikely claim, but I have 20 years' worth of previous students who will back me up on this. To me, mathematics is like a puzzle or a game. Adding a gaming component to my lessons makes them so much more enjoyable than just solving a page full of problems.

Mathematics is a real-world, experiential tool. My lessons are not about abstract concepts. They are about using what we are learning in our daily lives. Making the concepts useful is the first step in helping the student want to learn them. My teaching style is very casual and most importantly, kind. Everyone has different skill levels, different interests and different learning styles. I try to identify these variables and design lessons that meet those needs. I am also a pretty silly, fun-loving guy and kindness is always my top priority. I am most comfortable with middle school and high school mathematics. Different parts of the country use different course names, but basically if your 4th through 12th grader is learning math, I can help.
