My Teaching Method

For English, I emphasize clear structure and strong arguments, helping students see writing as a skill they can systematically improve, not just something they're "good" or "bad" at.

A Typical Lesson

Quick check-in on what's confusing right now (homework, upcoming test, recent grade)
Review the underlying concept with examples, not just the specific problem
Practice similar problems together, with me stepping back as they gain confidence
Wrap up with a short recap and a couple of practice problems for them to try independently
For English/writing sessions: review a draft together, discuss what's working, and revise line-by-line where needed
