About Heather
I specialize in tutoring SAT Math and English as well as ACT Math, Science, and English to help students excel in taking these tests. I also specialize in subject tutoring across a myriad of Math and Science subjects. From Algebra 1 through Trigonometry, I can help students gain a new and better understanding in math. My real passion, however is the sciences. I love to teach Chemistry, Biology, and Biochemistry. I studied sciences throughout my time as an undergraduate and graduate student, obtaining degrees in Biochemisty, Chemistry, and Forensic Science, as well as teaching collegiate level Biology labs while obtaining my graduate degree and I immensely enjoyed sharing my passion with my students. My true hope is to help each student achieve the love of academics I have and share in the exhilaration of academic success.

I work primarily with high school students, but I also work frequently with middle school and college students. I excel at finding new and engaging ways to explain difficult concepts to students by focusing on the students' hobbies and passions. I thoroughly enjoy taking the time to get to know you so I can find real world examples and techniques to better demonstrate tough concepts.
