About Anushka

I am a University Medallist and fully funded PhD researcher in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry at Western Sydney University, with an outstanding academic background and a genuine passion for education.

With over 4.5 years of tutoring experience, I have had the privilege of supporting students across different age groups, academic abilities and learning styles. Throughout my tutoring journey, I have maintained an excellent track record, with no negative feedback, reflecting my commitment to providing a positive, supportive and high-quality learning experience.

Having achieved academic excellence throughout my own education, including receiving university scholarships and graduating with a University Medal, I understand the dedication, consistency and effective study strategies required to succeed. I bring this experience into my tutoring, combining strong subject knowledge with patience, encouragement and an ability to make challenging concepts easier to understand.

Beyond academics, I am approachable, organised and genuinely invested in my students' progress. I take pride in building meaningful connections with students and creating an environment where they feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and developing confidence.

For me, tutoring is about more than achieving better grades; it is about helping students recognise their potential, develop independence and build the skills they need for long-term academic success.

About the lesson

I believe in personalization of teaching structure for each student as each child is unique. Adjusting the pace of the lesson to accommodate active participation and understanding often eases the process of learning new content. My lessons are differentiated and structured to suit the needs of my learner. I enjoy starting our sessions with warm-up activities where I check the status of my students' understanding of content previously covered. Checking their understanding and adjusting the teaching load and pace accordingly is key to our progression. Another important aspect of my lessons is frequent and constructive feedback. Students benefit a great deal from constant feedback and scope to improve. Currently, I tutor Yr 6-12 school students online. A typical lesson is usually an hour long. However, if the child needs me to spend more or less time in order for optimal learning to occur, I always accommodate their needs. I teach Science and Math including Biology, Chemistry at all levels.
