About Marina
Calculus is the bane of many students' existences. I understand that struggle; I've gone through it myself.
Starting out as the only female undergrad tutor in OSU's Math & Stats Learning Center (MSLC), I discovered a passion for math education. I have since accumulated additional tutoring experience working as a peer tutor for TRiO Student Support Services at OSU and as a private tutor for middle school, high school, and OSU students.
With years of learning and tutoring advanced mathematics, I'm well-equipped to help students achieve success in their calculus endeavours, whether they be in pre-calculus, integral calc, vector calc, or somewhere beyond or in-between.

This list is not exhaustive. I'm can help with most college-level calculus courses, so please reach out if you have questions about an unlisted course.
My approach to tutoring:
- Adapt teaching methods to suit individual student needs
- Offer hints that enable students to find answers themselves
- Confirm understanding at each step when approaching new problems
- Act with encouragement and patience
- Work as fast or as slow as student needs
- Develop practice problems and exam study guides (upon request)
If possible, I would like to hold in-person sessions, as I feel STEM topics are best learned with paper and pencil and interactive guidance. In Corvallis, I am able to meet in public locations near Monroe Avenue or on the OSU campus (such as Bobahead or OSU's Valley Library). Please let me know your preference when reaching out for lessons. :)

LATE FEE: If a student arrives late to a scheduled lesson without providing at least 1 hr advance notice, they will be charged for the full session, including the time they missed.
If a student has not notified me they will be late and does not show within 15 min from the lesson start time, they will be considered a no show.
NO SHOW FEE: If a student does not arrive to a scheduled lesson without providing at least 1 hr advance notice, they will be charged for the entirety of the scheduled time.
