About Haley

I have a strong academic foundation in the sciences and a steady, patient approach to teaching. I earned my undergraduate degree from Kennesaw State University, where I majored in Molecular and Cellular Biology with a concentration in pre-medicine. I went on to complete my master’s degree in Comparative Biomedical Science at the University of Georgia, and I’m now preparing to apply to dental school. That path keeps me closely connected to the biology, chemistry, and organic chemistry concepts I tutor. Even though I’m new to formal tutoring, I’ve spent years helping classmates and friends work through difficult material. Those experiences taught me how to explain complex topics in a clear, approachable way and how to create an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions. I take professionalism seriously. I show up prepared, communicate clearly, and work at a pace that supports real understanding. My goal is to help students feel more confident in their classes and to make these subjects feel manageable instead of overwhelming. About the lesson

My tutoring style is all about making science feel clear and manageable. This is my first time tutoring formally, but I’ve spent a lot of time helping classmates and friends understand biology and chemistry. Those experiences taught me how to break down complicated topics into simple pieces without talking over people or rushing through the steps.

A typical lesson starts with a quick check on what you’re learning and where things aren’t clicking. From there, I walk through the material at a steady pace, using examples, short practice questions, and allowing plenty of time for you to ask questions. My goal is to help you actually understand the why behind the concepts so they stick long-term, not just for the next quiz.

What sets me apart is my academic background and the way I explain things. I have a master’s degree in Comparative Biomedical Science from the University of Georgia, and I’m currently preparing to apply to dental school. I know what it’s like to learn these subjects from the ground up, and I can connect the classroom details to the bigger picture, which usually makes the material feel less intimidating.
