About Lucas
I’m Lucas, a Masters student at a top 100 Russell Group University. I research abstract algebra, representation theory, and category theory, all of which tie together in the study of something called quantum groups. In my undergraduate degree, I achieved a high first, getting a first in every module. I have extensive knowledge in the classic first year areas, such as algebra, analysis, and mathematical physics. My target audience are those keen to learn maths more, and differently. Whether you are a young prospect, someone wanting to do engineering, or already in higher education, my services would be perfect for you. What separates me from the crowd is I haven’t always been good at maths, going from middle set in year 10 to achieving the top grades. I know the best methods to really understand the subject, and hope I can teach them to you!

A comfortable environment, friendly face, and someone with recent experience in how to get high grades! I was once in middle set in year 10, going on to achieve 9s and A*s, so I know exactly how to learn maths in a different way than what might be taught. The key is of course practice, and I have many resources of suited problems. Being in education still allows me to connect on another level - I can relate!
