About Mercedes
I have my undergraduate degree in English education, which stems from a desire to connect people through literature to the world around them. I have a strong passion for social justice and that informs all of my educational philosophies. After working as a teacher for a few years, I went on to get my masters in social work-- thinking that was how I wanted to work with people, but have since returned to education which is truly what I am passionate about.
