About Katie
My name is Katie, and aside from my educational background in Physics with French, I am someone who is passionate about art, about fashion about languages and about travel and meeting new people.
I spent a year studying Physics in French in the Alps, meanwhile learning to ski! I've had many experiences meeting people from all kinds of backgrounds and cultures and there is nothing that inspires me more than passing on my own knowledge and advice, with the aim of having an impact on somebodies life, their future goals, and purely helping someone!
I'm very personable, confident and a clear communicator - able to express complex concepts in simple terms. So I believe I will be an excellent tutor for you!

My personal approach to tutoring is to be very adaptable to the students needs. For example, finding exactly which areas the student struggles with and using a combination of exam practice questions, in-depth analysis of the solutions, and explanations of the theory with diagrams and exam strategies to strengthen the areas that need improvement.
I have experience in knowing what its like not to understand. I am someone who didn't always "get it" at first glance, so through my degree I learnt how to break down the problems to get a better understanding and teach myself. I will be able to pass this on to the students who don't also "get it" at first glance and work with them.
The typical length of lesson I would deliver is 30 minutes - 1 hour lessons. However I am flexible.
I have experience in tutoring GCSE maths students online during the covid pandemic.
