About Aparna

HI,I am Aparna Unni. I am from India. I am a John Hume WISH Fellow , currently doing my PhD in Experimental Physics(Particularly in astroPhysics) at Maynooth University, Ireland. I arrived in Ireland on January 2023. Before that I have worked as a project assistant at Indian Institute of Astrophysics in India and also at the Indira Gandhi Center for atomic physics. I had my masters and Bachelors degree in Physics, which gave me a really good understanding not only in physics but also in related subjects such as maths and chemistry. In one way or other I am always fascinated by Physics and never let down an opportunity to study or teach the subject.

About the lesson

Teaching is one of my passion other than research. I used to teach students from high school level to graduate level during and after my masters. And it became a part of my routine during the pandemic period as most of us relied on the online platforms for learning. Even here during my PhD course I am doing some tutoring and demonstrations as a part of my curriculum, So, in short I have a nice experience in teaching.
I have.My teaching method is basically I teach the students the theory and make them realize what it is and then encourage them to say what they understood from the whole lecture and provide notes. In case of derivations and numerical problems , I usually provides the insight or an Idea of how to do it and let them use their brains. Of course I can help them If they are stuck. But overall I think by this way I can say my students always get a better understanding of the topic from the class itself, so that they don't need to work on that later, just a revision is needed for exams. I can assure that I can help you with anything you are stuck with. And If I am having some problems in finding any answer, I can research on that and provide an explanation. The duration for each lesson depends on the way the students understanding ,but I can promise tp complete all lessons before any due date.

I can provide my classes for primary,junior,senior and university levels and to all those who are curious on the subject.
