About Dan
I am currently studying MSc Molecular Biology at the University of Sheffield. Last year I completed a placement year in research and development, where I was able to learn a lot about immunology, cancer and antibody therapeutics.
I was always very timid at school and, coming from a deprived background, had little confidence in my abilities and my future. Nonetheless, the pressure of our education system and the 'rat's race' culture that it instils only added to my anxiety and hopelessness. However, with the endless support of my family and 'having it my way' through my academic career, I was able to achieve things that I wouldn't imagine to achieve. That's why I want to use this platform to provide most comforting and exciting lessons to students to help them unlock their potential and find their longing passion.

With my previous experience in online tutoring and delivering support to secondary school students, I am excited to help you grow your passion for biology as well as passing your exams with flying colours! I tutor A-Level and GCSE Biology, and other associated science disciplines, with a typical duration of an hour (however I am very flexible!).
My learning style is interactive, from multiple choice questions, to mindmaps and exam-style questions. I also prioritise students' understanding of the applications of taught biological principles - not only to smash their exams, but also expose them to different job markets they may build interest in. Having worked with hundreds of students, including those with SEN, I am confident in tailoring my lessons to your needs.
I am happy to support you on afternoon to evenings on weekdays to weekends.
