About Mackenzie
Supporting students in achieving their goals energizes me. I am an encourager by nature, and will be a cheerleader for my students through every step of their learning process.
I am non-judgmental when working with students. I will review subjects many times and in different ways until they are clear and accessible to my students.
I think learning should be fun! I aim to inspire my students innate curiosity and am collaborative in discovering my students' interests.

My teaching philosophy is strongly rooted in my belief that all children are capable learners. I am a gentle teacher who provides clear and engaging learning opportunities that maximize students' experiences of success. I personalize each lesson so that my students are engaged and learning material that is best suited to their needs.
My degree supports me in working with elementary aged children (ages 5-12) but I am comfortable teaching English Language Arts to older students (ages 13-18).
