About Steven
I am a former Royal Marines Commando and begun my teaching career after working in the private sector deterring Somali pirates. I applied my discipline and focus to educating myself and I graduated with a teaching degree focusing on teaching religious education. From there I worked in the UK for 2 years before leaving to work in the private sector in China. In China I retrained in 20th century History and even managed to secure multiple students to Cambridge and Oxford universities.
I am personable, relaxed and most importantly kind. I will help you get where you need to go.

I like to begin each lesson with an enquiry question that will serve as the topic and learning outcome. I am also concise and pragmatic, resulting in lessons lasting around 40 minutes. Typically with humanities based subjects, reading beforehand is required. I further develop these ideas and help you prepare for exam questions.
