About Saurav

Hey! Welcome to my page - I'm a graduate in Chemical and Nuclear Engineering (these are my more specialist areas if you're looking for something at university level).

I've been tutoring (in London) for the past few years - A levels, GCSE, IB and prior to that I've taught CBSE (mainly focused on Math and the Sciences). If you're looking for IIT/SAT (subject tests)/ACT/AP (all the math/science ones) or even application help (essays, cover letters, personal statements) - Iet me know, I can help!

Apart from my more academic focus, I've been playing the Piano for many years (probably 15 now?) and have obtained my Diploma ABRSM (got the Edgar Fewkes Memorial Award) and completed all 8 grades (a mix of ABRSM, LCM and TCL)!

I also teach French and have obtained my DELF B2!

About the lesson

My methodology depends heavily on how you learn, on what keeps you interested and engaged and your expectations such as exam prep.

Historically I have had more exam focused students. In these situations, I structure classes to make sure there is a strong foundation/understanding to begin with. Following this, I'd explore problem questions to understand how this theory can be applied. Then the focus is more towards preparing for a particular exam - looking at general themes, patterns in types of questions and a lot more problem solving from past papers! Finally, time management and a few practice rounds when we get closer towards the exam.

Piano/French - 1500/hr
Math/Sciences (KVPY/AP/SAT/ACT) - 2000/hr
Math/Sciences (IIT/University level) - 3000/hr
Counselling (Essay reviews/Application reviews/Statements of Purpose etc) - Perhaps worth a conversation since this is highly varied!
