About James
I’m an Economics MSc graduate (Distinction) from King's College London with a strong academic foundation in micro, macro, game theory, and econometrics, experimental and behavioural economics. I hold a First-Class Honours degree in Biomedical Science as well as being a specialist grade doctor, bringing analytical depth and real-world perspective to my teaching. Alongside my academic background, I’ve worked in global health consulting and co-founded a health-tech startup — giving me hands-on insight into how economic thinking applies in both policy and business settings. I tutor Economics at A-Level and university level, helping students grasp complex concepts with clarity and confidence.

My lessons are designed to build true economic understanding — not just memorisation. I help students develop the ability to analyse, problem-solve, and apply economic models to new situations, which is the key to success in both exams and real-world decision-making. I tailor each session to the student’s goals, exam board (AQA, Edexcel, OCR), and level of confidence. Whether it’s mastering diagrams, interpreting data, or structuring essays, I break topics down using real-world examples and a logical teaching style that prioritises understanding over passive learning. My aim is to make economics accessible, engaging, and empowering — so students finish each lesson not only with better grades, but with sharper thinking.
