About Salome

At just 19 years old, I packed my bags and moved abroad. Being away from my family meant that I had to learn how to take care of myself and manage my finances with minimal support. During this time, I worked at McDonald's, and despite my limited income, I was determined to create a budget that worked for me. Through trial and error, I developed a set of tools and strategies that helped me stay on track and manage my expenses effectively. Through disciplined budgeting and strategic financial planning, I was able to save a total of 10,000€ in just one year. This achievement wasn't just about cutting back on expenses - it was about taking control of my finances and making smart decisions that helped me reach my financial goals. As I moved to London and faced new financial challenges, I continued to refine my budgeting approach. I learned to be resourceful and creative, finding ways to make my money go further and meet my needs. Despite earning an apprentice salary of less than £800 per month, I was able to make ends meet and even thrive. Through careful budgeting, strategic decision-making, and a commitment to living within my means, I was able to turn my limited income into a source of strength and resilience. This experience taught me the value of financial planning and the power of taking control of your finances. My experience in managing budgets doesn't stop at personal finance. Over the course of my career, I have managed budgets ranging from a few thousand euros to several million, which has given me a deep understanding of financial management at both ends of the spectrum.
