About Guil
Hi, I’m Guil—a scientist, entrepreneur, and passionate guide for anyone ready to reclaim their health, reconnect with real food, and build a life that feels nourishing from the inside out. I didn’t always do this work. For years, I had a thriving career in research, working across academia and industry. I authored patents, published in high-impact journals, and managed large, multidisciplinary teams of researchers and engineers. From the outside, it looked like success. But behind the scenes, I was headed toward burnout. After a massive life and health crisis, I made the bold decision to leave my full-time job and dedicate myself to healing—and to creating ventures that would help others do the same. I began by learning to grow my own food and took on the care of community gardens, finding healing in the soil. From there, I became obsessed with the idea of food as medicine. I explored how to maximize nutrition through traditional methods—soaking, sprouting, fermenting—and quickly fell in love with the art and science of fermentation. That passion became my first business. Once I had my nutrition in check, I turned to my mental and physical well-being. I immersed myself in meditation, yoga, and psychology, eventually becoming a certified life coach. That became my second business: helping others navigate and overcome the kinds of personal crises I had walked through myself. Later, as the cost of living soared in my city—and knowing firsthand what it’s like to live nomadically—I began offering temporary accommodation to others in transition. That became my third business: creating spaces of comfort and stability for people who need a soft landing. Today, after years of deep transformation, I consider myself healthy, happy, and successful—not by society’s old standards, but by my own. Everything I do now centers on helping others reach that same sense of wholeness. Through fermentation mentoring, life coaching, and entrepreneurial guidance, I support people who are ready to live with intention, nourish themselves fully, and build something meaningful—starting right where they are. If that’s you, I’d love to connect.

**My Tutoring Approach to Traditional Food Fermentation & Gut Health Mastery**
My teaching style is practical, empowering, and deeply rooted in both science and tradition. I guide you step-by-step through each process, helping you actively transform the food yourself during our lessons. Whether we’re making kefir, fermenting vegetables, baking sourdough, or crafting homemade cheese, you’re not just watching—you’re doing it, with me right there to support and troubleshoot as needed.
*Teaching Techniques & Methodology*
My sessions are completely hands-on. I guide you through:
- Live, interactive demonstrations where you follow along in real time,
- Personalized coaching as you make each recipe or process yourself,
- Q&A woven throughout so you understand both the technique and the nutritional science behind it.
This immersive, practice-based approach means you finish each session with new skills, real fermented creations, and the confidence to keep going on your own.
*Lesson Length & Format*
Each session is typically 1 hour, with longer options available for deeper dives or business coaching. Most sessions are delivered online, but I also offer in-person visits for local clients—especially helpful if you’re launching or refining a fermentation-based business.
*Qualifications & Experience*
I hold a PhD in Science and have spent the past 4 years teaching food fermentation to individuals, groups, and business owners. I also run three profitable businesses, bringing not only technical skill but also real-world insight into how fermentation can become a sustainable, income-generating craft.
*Who These Lessons Are For*
- Adults of all ages looking to improve gut health and overall well-being
- Home fermenters and food lovers ready to take their skills to the next level
- Aspiring entrepreneurs wanting to build a food fermentation business from scratch or level up their current offerings
- Anyone ready to reconnect with real, nourishing, living food
No matter your experience level, I meet you where you are and help you build the knowledge, skill, and confidence to thrive—both in your kitchen and beyond.
