About Cher Yi
As a Master of Science in Psychology student, my recent research focuses on physical activity and executive function. I've been actively collaborating with members from Sunway University, Monash University, Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman, and the University of Aberdeen in publishing research findings related to aging, culture, cognitive functioning, creativity, and subjective well-being.
As a friendly and patient educator, I'm motivated to make education fun and engaging. I've been teaching students of different age groups and backgrounds at Sunway University, Cambridge English For Life, Singapore Math Academy, Friends Education Centre, SRJK (C) Keow Min, and the National Autism Society of Malaysia since 2016.

My teaching style is based on learner-centered approach where I provide a lot of choices for students to improve participation in class. I always encourage my students to think out of the box in order in order to apply theoretical knowledge to solve real-life problems. My most satisfying experience as an educator has come from helping struggling students to understand difficult concepts through individual task and group discussion.
