About Everett

My piano teaching approach combines strong fundamentals with creative and expressive learning. I design each lesson around the student’s goals while building technique, tone control, rhythm, and musical confidence. I focus on expressive performance and help students understand how to shape phrases and dynamics with emotional touch. Music should speak, not just sound.

Along with repertoire study, I teach composition basics, harmonic analysis, chord movement, and music storytelling. Students learn how pieces are built and how harmony creates mood and direction. This makes learning faster and more meaningful. I use clear examples and guided listening in every session.

I work especially well with students who want to grow as serious performers in both classical and jazz styles. I help them strengthen interpretation, improvisation skills, stylistic accuracy, and stage presence. Advanced learners receive structured coaching for auditions and competitions. Support and discipline go together.

About the lesson

With over seven years of teaching experience and a Bachelor of Music in Collaborative Piano, I bring both professional training and real performance insight into every lesson. My teaching centers on expressive performance, refined tone control, and true musical storytelling. I help students understand not just how to play the notes, but how to shape meaning through sound.

I especially enjoy working with students who love classical repertoire and film music, and who want to grow artistically as well as technically. We explore phrasing, color, touch, and interpretation in a practical and inspiring way. My mentorship style is supportive, structured, and deeply personal. I guide each student according to their goals, strengths, and musical identity.

I have coached many musicians preparing for conservatories, competitions, and important auditions. Together we build confidence, stage presence, and interpretive depth. I believe strong guidance and thoughtful feedback can unlock remarkable progress.
