About Mila

I’m a Physics tutor with over 9 years of experience and an MSc in Condensed Matter Physics. I am passionate about making complex concepts accessible, with a special focus on environmental radiation physics. Over the years, I’ve guided students in mastering the principles of natural and artificial radioactivity, exploring how radiation interacts with matter and how to detect and measure it accurately.
I specialize in teaching radiation detection techniques, shielding strategies, and the environmental impact of nuclear waste. Many students initially find these topics challenging, but through my tailored lessons, they gain clarity, confidence, and inspiration. I have worked extensively with learners from environmental science, health physics, and nuclear engineering backgrounds, adapting each lesson to their goals and needs.
Using real-world examples and clear explanations, I show how radiation physics connects to environmental safety and sustainability. I emphasize critical thinking, helping students assess radiation risks effectively.
