About Reva

I’m a Maths tutor with over 3 years of experience and a Master’s in Mathematics (MMath). My passion goes beyond numbers—I’m deeply fascinated by the history of mathematics and the evolution of mathematical thought. I believe that understanding where ideas come from can bring a whole new appreciation to solving problems. In my sessions, I often take students on a journey through time. We explore the brilliant minds of ancient civilisations—like the Babylonians, Greeks, Indians, and Arabs—who laid the foundation of modern math. From Pythagoras’ triangles to Euler’s elegant formulas, I love uncovering the stories behind famous theorems. I help students see that math isn’t just rules and calculations—it’s a human story of discovery, challenge, and creativity. We talk about the struggles and breakthroughs that shaped ideas we use today. This approach adds depth and meaning to every topic, whether it’s algebra, geometry, or calculus. I encourage students to think of mathematics as a rich tapestry of ideas, shaped by cultures and thinkers across centuries. It’s not just about getting the answer—it’s about understanding the journey that led us there. About the lesson

My teaching approach in Maths is centred on clarity, structure, and real-world application. I help students build confidence by breaking down complex topics into manageable parts. Whether it’s algebra, geometry, or calculus, I guide learners step by step with clear explanations and practical examples. I also focus on important skills like data interpretation, graphing techniques, statistical analysis, and recognising numerical trends—essential tools for both academics and research. I use deep textual analysis and structured data exercises to sharpen thinking and problem-solving. This helps students understand not just how to solve a problem, but why the solution works. I have a strong track record working with students who feel anxious or unsure about maths. With patience and encouragement, I help them turn confusion into clarity. I also support analytical learners who want to master quantitative reasoning and push their limits. Each session is designed to strengthen understanding and build long-term skills. Together, we’ll refine your data analysis abilities and make maths feel logical and even enjoyable. I’m here to support every learner in reaching their academic goals with confidence.
