About the lesson

Hi,
My name is Dan. I grew up in France and have graduated from 2 masters: applied mathematics, and quantitative finance, both at Sorbonne University in Paris. I am a native French speaker.

During my long years of study, I was very involved in an organization providing free tutoring to young students that couldn't afford a proper education. I also punctually tutored bachelor students on diverse mathematics subjects such as topology, calculus, abstract and linear algebra, measure theory, probability, and statistics.
These 5 years of experience tutoring mathematics taught me a very important lesson. I can understand the difficulties a student may have even if I haven't been through that difficulty, and then adapt my explanations and examples to overcome it.

I am passionate about mathematics and I enjoy sharing it. My first objective when I tutor mathematics is to break the fears that students may have, and raise their self-esteem so they can get into a problem with more confidence and determination.
