About Sandra
I am a master of English and master of fine arts, creative writing. I am looking to teach (small group) English online. I will include basic grammar, parts of speech, punctuation, the ability to express complete thoughts, sounds and phonemes, as well as literature, both American and British categorized by periods and genre. I have a wealth of Shakesperean writing as well see pics and other forms of poetry. I also have the ability to teach literary criticism. My eaching technique is both whol language and phonics as I address specific ways to learn such as visual as I address and seem to combine all levels of communication (speaking, listening, reading, and writing. I choose to teach students how to work individually, in pairs, and in groups, in that order. This will be accomplished using modern technology and systems such as peer evaluation and group responses to a set goal, frequently changing roles of members in each group. I address the levels of learning from comprehension to analysis, evaluation, and synthesis.

As mentioned in the previos inquiry, my methodology in phonetic and whole language because I see the need for both. Etymology including suffix and prefix origins will be taught. I will simultaneously emphasize woke language to encourage reading and writing. Using their examples of writing at the beginning, we will take those samples and revise them into sophisticated papers with and identifiable thesis, body and conclusion. Along the way, I will give assignments hat are based on individual development level as opposed to the pass and fail method because, in my classroom, nobody is a failure. We will read fiction and nonfiction as time will allow and learn poetry formats i.e. a sonnet ad opposed to a freestyle poem. We will look at drama and learn the Shakespearean influence on language such as colloquialisms, the "fourth wall", and how the attraction techniques that Shakespeare utilized such as always making the audience feel superior to the characters in each play. Furthur, I will teach points of view: 1st, 2nd, 3rd and the effectiveness of each. This can be accomplished in any grade. For example, who is speaking in nursery rhymes; does the speaker change? Who is speaking in Moby Dick?
If time does not allow the reading of a book the size of said work, excerpts can surely be substituted.
