I’m a UC Berkeley Master of Engineering student with many years of experience tutoring kids grades K-12. I enjoy walking students through assignments and ensuring they fully understand each concept of each problem before moving on to the next one.

I teach Arithmetic, Pre-Algebra, Algebra I and II, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Linear Algebra, Differential Equations (experience with ODE’s and PDE’s), and Analysis. I am careful not to assume how much the student knows or does not know. I start by letting them tell me in their own words what they’re learning about and then going into problems. I avoid just giving them the answer to a problem because it interferes with the learning process. Instead I only give them hints to help them in the right direction. I try to find real world applications to concepts to try to give them a sense of why the concept they are learning is important.

Perfect! Jackson has been fantastic with my 11 year old son, who has ADHD and is struggling with grade-level math. He is patient, skilled, knowledgable, flexible, and always shows up on time. Highly recommend!
