About Serene
I am a passionate teacher who aims to allow students to see the world in an academic and social-emotional perspective. I have worked with elementary-aged children for three years and it brings so much joy to my heart when I see them thriving day after day and learning new things. I believe each child grows in so many different ways and we, as humans, are all able to challenge ourselves to become better individuals.

I have worked in an elementary educational setting for over two years. I use real-life experiences to cultivate learning and use problem-solving activities. I encourage the use of technology during learning and engaging in games/projects related to the lesson.
In a typical lesson, I introduce the topic, I then provide the necessary material and explain what we will be doing. I go over the learning objectives. I then work through problems with the student and provide them with independent practice after that. Finally, I summarize the lesson and go over key points and take questions when needed.
My lessons are for elementary-aged students (K-5) in all common core subjects.
