About Franky
Hi, I’m Franky Bey, currently pursuing a PhD in Physics (Materials Science) at the Institute of Advanced Study in Science and Technology (IASST), Guwahati. I completed my Master’s degree from IIT Guwahati in 2025.
Teaching is something I am truly passionate about. Although I have not taught in a school for an extended period, I have had the opportunity to teach at the school level for a few months, and that experience strengthened my interest in teaching.
As I mentioned, I am pursuing a PhD with the hope of eventually becoming a lecturer-fingers crossed! I particularly enjoy teaching students who have not yet entered college, because they are still at a stage where they are discovering their interests and exploring what they truly enjoy.
Coming from a STEM background, I see it as a small responsibility—and a privilege—to inspire young students to explore STEM and perhaps discover a passion for science and technology along the way. I believe we need more students to pursue STEM, and if I can encourage even a few of them to do so, I would consider that meaningful.
