About Brandon
I was born and raised in Massachusetts. Currently, I am a graduate student in mathematics at the University of Amsterdam. I have teaching experience in urban and suburban school districts with students from grades 9 to 12.
Last year, I taught Algebra II at Wellesley High School. As a student teacher, I taught BC Calculus and CP Algebra One at Cambridge Rindge and Latin High School. I am comfortable working with advanced students and students who have moderate disabilities.

Throughout my teaching career, I have explored new and innovative teaching methods. For example, as a student teacher, I flipped my BC Calculus class. Such an approach ensured students could learn math at their own pace at home. Then, they could practice mathematics at school with access to many support structures. We also had extra time to explore and discuss more exciting problems. The result was a collaborative culture where students worked in groups to ask and answer interesting questions. As a math teacher at Marblehead High School, I utilized education technology to aid student learning inside and outside of class. For example, I used Screencastify to post lessons and instructional aid for students remotely. I also used Google Classroom to communicate with students and held weekly Zoom sessions. As an aspiring mathematician, I prioritize understanding and connecting with the material over rote memorization.
