About Vivian

Lessons include visual explanations, real-world examples, and careful reasoning to make abstract ideas more tangible. I enjoy working with DIY learners and researchers, guiding them to develop their own unique methods for understanding difficult theorems. This encourages independence and creativity in their mathematical thinking. I believe each learner has a distinct path to mastering concepts, and I help them discover it. The goal is not just to learn mathematics, but to change the way students think about it. Together, we explore new perspectives, making advanced mathematics engaging, meaningful, and empowering. I am a dedicated Maths tutor with over 6 years of experience and a BA in Mathematics. My passion lies in topology and knot theory — fascinating fields that study shapes, spaces, and continuous deformations. I enjoy helping students see the beauty of these ideas through clear visual aids and real-world examples, such as molecular structures and artistic patterns.

My lessons are designed for students curious about abstract mathematics, physics, or the connections between math and art. I focus on building deep conceptual understanding, guiding learners to see beyond formulas to the ideas that shape the subject.
