About Tessa
In my lessons, we explore how math applies directly to your financial world. You’ll learn how to calculate interest, understand loan repayments, and compare different borrowing options with clarity. We’ll break down the principles of investing so you can evaluate risks, returns, and growth potential with confidence. Budgeting will become more than just tracking expenses; you’ll learn to create strategies that help you reach your goals faster. Using real-world examples, we’ll work through scenarios like buying a car, planning for education, or saving for the future. I make sure you feel supported as you practice applying these skills, building both accuracy and confidence. Together, we’ll turn financial challenges into opportunities for smart problem-solving.

I am a dedicated Maths tutor with over 10 years of teaching experience and a MSc in Mathematical Modelling. My passion lies in exploring how mathematics shapes our understanding of the social sciences. I specialize in network theory and agent-based modeling, tools that reveal the hidden structures of human interaction.
From the spread of ideas and information to the dynamics of disease transmission, I use mathematics to uncover the patterns behind complex social processes. I find it fascinating how a few equations can describe the ripple effects of a single event across entire communities. Collective behavior, whether in markets, social networks, or public opinion, comes alive when we examine it through a mathematical lens.
In my lessons, I guide students in applying quantitative methods to make sense of real-world human systems. I encourage curiosity, critical thinking, and the confidence to explore problems from multiple perspectives. Whether tackling theoretical concepts or real data, I help students connect abstract mathematics to tangible societal challenges.
