About the lesson

I’m a dedicated Maths tutor with over 4 years of experience and a Master’s in Mathematics (MMath). My passion goes beyond formulas and equations—I’m fascinated by the history of mathematics and how mathematical ideas have evolved over time. Understanding the development of these concepts makes learning more meaningful and memorable.

From the ingenious geometry of the ancient Egyptians to the logical reasoning of Greek philosophers and the breakthroughs of Indian and Islamic scholars, I show how diverse cultures shaped the world of numbers. I bring these stories into my lessons, helping students see mathematics as a living, evolving discipline rather than a fixed set of rules.

We’ll explore the origins of famous theorems and meet the minds behind groundbreaking discoveries. How did Newton build on centuries of knowledge to develop calculus? These questions guide our journey, making learning both engaging and insightful.
