About Sijia
Hello! My name is Yu Sijia, or Skye (any one is fine by me). I am a first year biochemistry student at University College London. I decided to start tutoring mandarin because it allows me to spread my culture to those who are interested in it. I enjoy the process of teaching, especially to those who show enthusiasm for my own native language! Taking on this role will make me feel proud as a Chinese citizen, while also helping me feel closer to home while I study in the UK.

My lessons are usually an hour long. I will make a PowerPoint based on the level that you are studying at, including vocabulary and grammar. I will then give you a worksheet to consolidate your learning.
I have experience with teaching mandarin to people of all ages. When at school, I taught my Canadian teacher mandarin for 3 years.
Even though I am not fluent in English, I have a great understanding of the language as I go to university in London, so will be able to teach English-speakers without difficulty.
Preferably I would like a student aged 10 or up at a beginner/intermediate level.
