About Urmi
My name is Urmi. I’ve had the privilege of teaching math for more than 4 years, and over the years, I’ve developed a deep passion for helping students understand math. I believe math is a tool for thinking critically and solving problems—skills that are valuable both in class and life. I’m dedicated to creating a classroom environment where students feel supported and encouraged, no matter their starting point. I want you to feel confident and excited about tackling challenges! Outside of teaching, I enjoy reading books—everything from fiction to non-fiction—and I find painting to be a wonderful way to express creativity. I believe that these hobbies help me stay curious and open-minded, qualities that I try to bring into my teaching every day.

As a math tutor, my primary goal is to create a supportive and engaging learning environment. I believe that every student has a unique learning style, and I strive to tailor my approach to meet each individual’s needs. My teaching methods are highly interactive and focused on fostering critical thinking. I use a combination of visual aids, real-world examples, and step-by-step problem-solving techniques. One of my special features as a teacher is my ability to simplify complex concepts and make them understandable. Whether a student is struggling with high school algebra or preparing for college-level calculus, I adapt my methods to suit their current level of understanding and specific goals.
