About Joe
Throughout GCSEs and A-Levels I helped to tutor my fellow students as it was a useful way to remember the content myself. However I found I enjoyed doing it and so I have decided to continue. I tutored at my old high school, over a range of abilities, quite literally from lowest set year 7's to top set year 11's, all of which I felt began to enjoy their maths more as the weeks went on. I also tutored a group of 6 struggling AS students, all of whom at least passed, with 4 out of the 6 achieving a B

I use (sometimes rather strange) analogies to help students understand not only how certain techniques work, but also why they work. For example, you are for more likely to remember why a technique works if you think about it in the context of a Lion at an archery range than if you confine it to the bog standard contexts of a textbook
