About Michael
I have a MA ELT and have taught EFL for over 30 years from beginner level to PhD thesis mentoring. I have worked in Europe and Asia. My main experience was in Cambodia where as a development worker I completed a Masters Degree in ELT at the University of London. I started training tourist guides but soon moved into tertiary teaching at the Royal University of Fine Arts. I move through various educational establishments, finally becaming Rector of LUCT International University in Phnom Penh.

Learning is by doing; my learners do communicative tasks to perfect their English language proficiency. Learning activities are based on the learners' needs and involve reading, writing, listening and speaking. My basic premise is that language is words and rules, so learners are exposed to relevant lexis and create meaningful language to communicate their ideas to others.
