About Sally
Kindergarten teacher currently working with 3 to 6 year old children in North Island Palmerston North New Zealand. Fully qualified NZ registered, Police checked. Over 15 years' experience.
Basic knowledge of French, German and te reo Maori. Experience working with English as additional language children EAL and children with additional and diverse needs. I love the art of storytelling and creative language.
I am also qualified as a level 3 Positive Parenting Practitioner through the University of Queensland, Australia providing Parenting support to families.

I am passionate about teaching in these early formative years. So much critical teaching can be achieved throughout key curriculum areas such as mathematics, language learning, visual art, phonetics, and science. Creative storytelling is a wonderful vehicle to build a safe and trusting way explore these domains. Furthermore, key to my own teaching philosophy is about having fun, enjoying learning, as well as growing an 'I can do it' attitude, to grow resilience and confidence. Learning also to celebrate and embrace diversity in all forms is key to my love of the art of teaching.
