About Helmy
I’m an LSE Mathematics & Economics graduate and I’ve been tutoring for several years. I’ve always enjoyed Maths and Economics and, more importantly, I enjoy helping other people understand it.
I started tutoring because I like seeing the difference a good explanation can make. There’s nothing better than seeing a student go from saying “I don’t get this” to confidently answering questions on their own. I try to make lessons relaxed and enjoyable while still making sure students make real progress.

I’m an LSE Mathematics & Economics graduate with several years of tutoring experience, teaching Maths from KS3 to A level.
My approach is to first make sure the student fully understands and has secured the content, before moving on to targeted and exam-style questions.
I adapt each lesson to the student’s needs and focus on maximising the benefit of every session.
I achieved Grade 8 in GCSE Maths, A* in A level Maths, A in Further Maths and A in Economics. Lessons are typically 1 hour and are suitable for students from Year 7 to A level.
