Hello! I am an LSE double graduate (BA & MA in Philosophy) with a unique, empathetic, and highly effective approach to teaching Mathematics. Having navigated the rigorous academic environment of the London School of Economics, I understand exactly what it feels like to hit an academic bottleneck. Because I approach Mathematics through the lens of a highly trained analytical thinker rather than just a "natural-born human calculator," I know exactly where students get stuck. My Approach to Tutoring: The "Why" Before the "What"
As an LSE Philosophy graduate (BA & MA), I bring a unique and highly effective approach to teaching Mathematics. I don't believe in rote memorisation or blindly applying formulae. At its core, Mathematics is the purest form of logic, which is exactly what I spent years mastering at LSE. My goal is to help students understand the underlying mechanics of a maths problem. Once a student grasps why a formula works logically, the anxiety around maths disappears, and solving complex problems becomes an intuitive, step-by-step puzzle rather than a chore.

Teaching Techniques & Methodology:

The Socratic Method: Rather than just giving you the answer, I ask targeted questions to guide you to discover the solution yourself. This builds genuine confidence.

First Principles Thinking: We break down intimidating topics into their most basic, easy-to-understand foundational concepts, then rebuild them.

Exam Strategy & Structuring: LSE trained me to be exceptionally rigorous. I teach students how to structure their work, ensuring they pick up every possible method mark in exams.

Typical Length of a Lesson:

My standard lessons are 1 hour long, which is optimal for maintaining focus and retaining new concepts.

For older students (A-Level/IB) or during exam season, I offer 1.5-hour deep-dive sessions to work through full past papers together.

(Optional: I always offer a shorter first introductory session to assess the student's current level, identify their pain points, and set clear goals.)

My Qualifications & Experience:

BA and MA in Philosophy and Economics from the London School of Economics (LSE). My academic background is rooted in rigorous formal logic, analytical reasoning, and scientific methodology.
