About Jean
I have a BA in liberal studies with an emphasis on English literature. I have tutored people casually who spoke mainly Chinese. I've had four semesters of college Spanish, one in French and one in german, and I was privately tutored in Chinese for a month.

My approach is to build on your interests within a given area at least to start, because your greatest motivation I on will be in this area and also you will likely get the most use out of your new knowledge. I may also look at your areas of weakness which may be holding you back such as pronunciation or word order and have you practice correctly to reverse a bad habit. I would focus on things that most get in the way of you understanding or being understood.
