About Pax
Given my prior experience working with students, I'm confident in my abilities as a tutor. I'm a positive, patient person, I help a majority of my friends with Algebra 1 and 2, Geometry, and English Literature. In addition, I tutor younger family members with general K-5 work. I have experience working with people with ADHD/ADD, and mental disabilities. This has given me a deep understanding that every person learns differently, and, given my position, it's my job to find what works best for every individual!

I've always been academically talented in Math and English, I TA'd for an Algebra class as a Sophomore. During that experience, I learned that teachers aren't always able to personalize lessons for each individual student and their learning style. I want to make sure that students are being taught in a way that works for them! I'm willing to tutor K-11 in Math (I specialize in Algebra) and/or English and Writing.
I don't use any sort of lesson plan, I want to get to know the student and see what works for them. Initially, I give a practice "quiz," then based on that I figure out what we need to work on together. I then focus on adapting to their learning style to teach in a manner that best suits them!
