About Claire
I am a primary school teacher who has had experience in all areas of the curriculum for almost 6 years. I have tutored groups of children as well as one-to-one preparation for 11+.
I like to be serious in my classes, but not without injecting fun and humour where appropriate. I firmly believe that anyone can be taught and has more potential than they realise.

Enthusiasm is key! If we both have the enthusiasm and eagerness to learn, nothing can stop us.
I like to enjoy texts and really gain as much depth as possible, looking at all aspects of a text. Learning about words may sound boring, but can be such fun finding out their origins, synonyms, antonyms etc.
I'm happy to taken on primary school level children, but would be happy to help adults to improve their literacy too.
