About Shahanna

I am a fresh graduate majoring in Science (Chemistry) from University Science Malaysia and I have always loved and excel at the subject since I was in secondary school to matriculation and until now. I am currently working as a formulation/cosmetic chemist in Penang where I still use my organic chemistry, chemical calculations and industrial chemistry skills.

My teaching approach focuses on breaking down complex concepts into simple, understandable parts, using real-world examples and visual aids. I encourage active participation through interactive lessons, problem-solving exercises, and quizzes, which help reinforce the material and build confidence. I believe that understanding the fundamentals is key to mastering Chemistry, so I ensure that students have a solid grasp of core concepts before tackling more advanced topics.

I will conduct my classes through online platform but with proper devices and equipments.

I focus on making Chemistry accessible and engaging through a student-centered approach. My teaching methodology emphasizes:

Concept Clarification: I ensure students fully grasp the fundamental principles before moving on to more advanced topics, using visual aids and real-world examples to make complex concepts easier to understand.

Problem-Solving Practice: I help students develop strong problem-solving skills by walking them through practice questions, starting with simpler problems and gradually increasing the difficulty to build confidence.

Interactive Learning: I encourage active participation with quizzes, discussions, and hands-on activities to keep students engaged and deepen their understanding.

Regular Feedback: I provide continuous assessments to monitor progress, offering personalized feedback to help students improve in weak areas.

Lesson Duration
Lessons typically last 1-2 hours, but I can adjust the length based on the student’s needs and concentration span.

Qualifications and Experience
With a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry and currently working as a formulation chemist, I helped many secondary school students excel in their Chemistry studies, particularly in preparation for the SPM exams.

Who Are My Lessons For?
My tutoring is aimed for secondary school students (ages 15-17) preparing for the SPM exams. I cater to both students needing additional support and those seeking to strengthen their understanding for better exam performance.
