About Ed

Teach Physics and Maths at Judd grammar school. I have PGCE and QTS. Whilst training, I received IoP scholarship. I also have a PhD, MSc and Masters in Physics.

University of Bristol:

Doctor of Philosophy in Physical sciences, (PhD)

Physics and mathematics seminar tutor, physics lab demonstrator and final year research project supervisor. My final year research students each achieved a first in their research project.

University of Warwick:

Master of Material Science (MSc)

Master of Physics, Bachelor of Science (MPhys, BSc)

The Skinners' School:

A2 Level: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (A,A,A)
AS Level: Art (A)
GCSE: 8 A*, 2 A grades - placed top ten in the country for an examination board; achieved 100% in triple science exams and art.

My American-equivalent GPA is 4.0.

About the lesson

Maths and Physics are the hardest A level subjects. I tailor my sessions to meet the needs of my students. I inspire subject knowledge, confidence, problem-solving skillsets and the exam techniques required for my students to succeed in Physics and Mathematics.

Perfect! Ed had taught my son Jonny “A” level physics and maths for nearly 1 year. The feedback from Jonny is that Ed is keen to explore topics to a depth which has allowed him to gain a sound understanding of the concepts involved. Ed has a very enthusiastic and positive teaching style. As a parent, Ed has always kept me up to date with progress and has identified both strengths and also where further focus is required. All in all he is a really great teacher.
