About Maya
I am an environmental and earth Science student at Stanford University. I have been tutoring for 3 years at my highschool, and helped my peers get through the college application and preparation process. I have taken 34 units of science courses in college, including physics, chemistry, biology, geology, and hydrology. My favorite subject is environmental science, urban agriculture, and environmental stewardship. I attended the top magnet school in California, California Academy of Mathematics and Science.

I give lessons to highschool students, as well as incoming college freshman. I like my lessons to be fun and informative, but it also depends on the subject. I like students to understand the how and why of the material, not just the answer. I will suggest materials that I believe are helpful at the end of the lesson so that you can improve on your own time as well. For college preparation, my aid is to help you jumpstart your application process, not to do it for you. I will help you optimize your college list, and help you prepare the topics for your essays. I hope that I can help people prepare for highschool and college.
