About Monica

Born in Bucharest and currently living in London, I moved to the UK in 2017 to pursue my passion for different languages and cultures. Four years later, I graduated from University College London (UCL) in French and Arabic and now, I am still eager to continue exploring. Being a languages student myself, I can perfectly understand the struggles and difficulties specific to learning a new language. Therefore, I would love to help you with anything, ranging from grammar to pronunciation to speaking practice!

About the lesson

Hello! Bună! When it comes to learning a language, I believe that everyone has their own method and for this reason, I prefer to be flexible and adapt my lessons according to your level, requests and needs. I will also have no hesitation to use resources or material that will help you build confidence in the Romanian language. Anyone at any level is welcome! :)

Perfect! I've always wanted to start learning Romanian in a more constructed way, and after a few lessons I can definitely say that Monica is an amazing teacher. From the beginning she's been asking what my goals are to better personalize the teaching, she's very patient and encouraging, empathetic with my struggles at the difficulties in the language, and making sure I keep on track with additional exercises. Perfect! This was my first lesson with Monica and it went very well! Monica had a lesson plan for me and her, and everything felt collaborative. She was patient with my incorrect pronunciation and encouraging when I pronounced words correctly. I look forward to having more lessons.

Perfect! 5 star reviews are very common on websites these days but Monica 100% deserves a 5-star review. Besides the enormous amount of work she put into preparing for our first lesson - handmade worksheets about verb conjugations, pronunciation, and speaking exercises - she is also a great teacher that is very passionate about languages and goes above and beyond to help the student. Extremely professional and approachable person that I 100% recommend if you want to learn Romanian!
