About Mike

Mike BScArch(Hons) Dip Arch MArch ARB RIBA.
Mike McMahon is a multidisciplinary architect with nearly 20 years’ experience across many award-winning buildings and practices in the UK such as Eric Parry Architects and Wright & Wright. Founder of Mike McMahon Studio, he champions sustainability, innovation, making, and education through practice, teaching, and collaboration. I have been an external reviewer at Cambridge School of Architecture, Sheffield School of Architecture and Central St Martins.
I have a wealth of knowledge from concept to technical detailing due to years completing projects. I enjoy helping to build your confidence and improve your architecture skills. Software: AutoCAD (2D), Sketchup 3D, Enscape, Photoshop, Indesign: concept design, drawings and representation, brief writing, sustainable design principles, structural principles, technical detailing, university applications, part 3 & job applications.

About the lesson

I have a positive and warm approach to support architecture students with clear, practical guidance on design, technical studies, portfolios, and career development, helping secondary school students, Part 1 and Part 2 students, and Part 3 students strengthen their work, confidence, and critical thinking under academic and professional pressures. Teaching is tailored to each person's needs.
