About Charlie
I’m a songwriter with 10+ years of experience in bands and solo work. I was classically trained as a vocalist and taught myself guitar. I love using the guitar to create atmosphere and character. I am very inspired by Baltimore bands like Beach House, Lower Dens, Cold Mega, and Animal Collective. I am currently recording my own original work. I can teach you techniques that will lead you to mastery and progression of your own artistic POV, or I can help you learn a song you love.

I want to know what inspires you to make music and what kind of music you’re interested in playing. Then we will develop a plan towards mastery and dexterity with the guitar. If your interest is songwriting, I will likely provide you a series of physical exercises - riffs, chord progressions, finger picking - to generate muscle memory and develop your melodic sense. If there is a particular piece you want to learn, we will master the basics associated with that piece and then rehearse as if for a live performance.
