About Marcia
I’m a Linux developer and advocate. My experience goes back 20 years and I’ve taught multiple workshops and have done a lot of training. I was the Linux user group benevolent dictator for life as they call it.. For Copper Linux. Our group held workshops and swap meets as well as installfests for Linux and Pi. My work experience includes Microchip, Pearson, Intel, and more!

Hi. When I facilitate training, I tend to think of it as more of a journey where I am the guide. My experience includes over 20 years of Linux mostly focused on Debian. I wrote the content for Linux essentials used in universities, worldwide in cooperation with CompTIA and their Linux Plus certification in 2003. I was a sys admin on multiple contracts, including learning management systems for the Arizona Department of Education. While I prefer to teach beginning Linux, I also have a lot of experience with confidential cloud computing and more. I’ve spoken at multiple Linux conferences over the past few years about privacy, accessibility, Linux on IOT, industrial IOT and AI. If you want to learn machine learning principles and use samples to experiment with object detection, people detection, etc. I can get you there! Let’s get started!
