About Caio
I grew up bilingual in a trilingual home, a child to two translators, and was deeply impacted and mesmerized by the beauty of language. I couldn't run away from my childhood passions, so I graduated in Letters with a specialization degree in Linguistics. Combining a taste for languages with the immense desire to be an educator, I decided to become a language teacher :)

I strongly believe in exposing a student to his target language early on. For this reason, my teaching method is, in general, highly focused on exposure to speech (classes are taught in English) and on encouraging speech whenever possible. Depending on the student's level, grammar topics are explored, but never in an imposing, formalistic way, as if language structures were formulas to be memorized, but in a conversational context. The idea is that language is always absorbed as a structure in the context of conversation, and not memorized.
I also like to explore reading exercises, for vocabulary acquisition and occasional pronunciation correction.
