About Cierra
Learning a language should be fun and enriching, not something that stresses you out to where you no longer enjoy it. As someone who has learnt other languages, I understand the frustrations of not immediately being able to express yourself in the language you so desperately want to learn. I know it's cliché but patience is a virtue that I stress to my students and practice on my own, both with them and myself. The vocabulary, pronunciation and comprehension will all come through time, effort and exercise which I hope to be of assistance with.

Each lesson is tailored to the individual's goals. For novice students, grammar and vocabulary are the main focus; it can seem boring, but sometimes we make it fun through analysing lyrics of a song in English that they enjoy! Other lessons can focus on phonology to improve (American) pronunciation and help learners identify how/where certain difficult sounds are made.
